The front door opens into an elegant entrance hall (12 sq m) with an original tile floor and moulded plaster ceiling. To the left a pair of doors opens into a reception room (20 sq m). This room has an attractive wooden floor, high skirting boards, wood panelled window surrounds, a marble fireplace and delicately moulded plaster ceiling.
To the right of the entrance hall a second pair of doors open in another reception room (30 sq m). This room has a wooden floor, high skirting boards, wood panelled window surrounds and an exposed beam ceiling (painted white).
To the rear of the hall a pair of part-glazed doors open into a corridor. To the left of this is the kitchen (12 sq m) with tiled floor and a door to the garden. There is WC off the hall and at the end of the hall a wooden staircase rises to the first floor.
A landing runs the length of the house, off which are three bedrooms (17 sq m, 20 sq m and 25 sq m), all of which have wooden floors and one of which has a marble fireplace and an ensuite bathroom. At the end of the landing is a bathroom with bath, WC and washbasin.
The stairs continue to the second floor, where there are two rooms (12 sq m each) and a shower area with WC and washbasin (this area could benefit from a redesign). A doorway from here opens into an unconverted attic space of about 30 sq m.
Below the house are the cellars which provide storage space (including a wine cellar) and which also house the central heating boiler.
There is a large walled garden to the back of the property, mostly gravelled over. To one side there is the swimming pool area and to the other there is a very large garage / oubuilding with parking for many cars.
If town life is what is required, this house provides elegant living space with plenty of private outside space, all of which is just a stone's throw from the centre of Jarnac.
